Hi all! Thanks to all that could make it despite a very short notice for going down on 7th Jan for the Sentosa outing! Was really glad to see y'all again yo! Uploaded photos on my blog already! MY CAMERA IS AWESOME, WOO-HOO! Kekeke.

Anyway some of us were talking about it: Do y'all wanna study together next year? Y/Y? We can set a date after school to stay behind and MUGGGGGG. So we can save on tuition and direct the funds to aid our returning to Thailand. ;D

Attire: Half Uni ( Green Tee + Sch pants/skirt) and SHOES!
NO SLIPPERS!

* The camp com cum exco meeting with Mr Ho is canceled. Hence, the mass gathering pushed forward to 1530.
* We're bringing pizza for our pot luck share.

Next Team Outing!

Hey peeps!
There will be an outing on the 17th Dec, which is next wednesday. We will be going for a movie and then dinner at Fish & Co.

So we will be meeting at Plaza Singapura, 3pm [tentative]. We will have to confirm the time again, cos it really depends on what time the movie starts. But dinner will have to start at 6pm.

Btw, go online on tues night if possible. I think everything will be confirmed by then!

Outing to ECP

As some of you might have know by now, some of us planned an outing this wednesday to ECP.

We will be meeting at 11am at bedok MRT and we will be going to ECP to cycle and play at the beach. The more people coming, the merrier. But many of our teammates are overseas already or are going away tmr. Guys, go online tmr night to plan yeahh?

Let's all pray for Reh ya? Hope he will go back to school and be as cheerful as ever!!

Hey all!

I'm sure many of you already know, but if you don't.. Reh hasn't been going to school since we left. According to the translators it's because he went home and his house is, like, 6km from school. Not really sure why he hasn't been going since he loves reading and is always so keen to learn new stuff.

I'm sure Reh was one of the village children that impacted us the most on this trip. Let's keep him and the rest of Ban Pha Taek in our prayers yeah?

Hello OCIP Thailand Team!
We are steadily nearing the departure date of our trip and I'm pretty the excitement is building up! =)
Therefore, there will be a second dry-run cooking session on the 20th October 2008. Details are as what's stated below.

What: Dry Run Cooking 2
Date: 20th October 2008
Venue: To assemble in Caf
Time: 5.45pm to 7.30pm (please be on time :D)

IMPORTANT --> Everyone is to bring their own cutlery and plate (or you'll have to eat from the floor, which would be funny but pretty distasteful haha)

Please be present as attendance is compulsory unless a valid reason is given.
We will be cooking three dishes so do look forward to it!

Anyhu, in the spirit of gearing everyone up for the performance that we will be putting up for Thailand people, I have posted a video of a seemingly popular Thai song that we will be singing for them! It's called The Elephant Song and it's pretty catchy haha. (thanks Petch for the recommendation)

I'm sure you all have seen Daughtry's "What about now" video last Friday. It has been quite thought-provoking to me, even as someone who was been on OCIP trips before.

OCIP Outing Update

Hey all, terribly sorry for the sudden postponement of the OCIP Gathering that was supposed to be held on the 11th of August.
In view of the Math tests that are on the 12th of August, I think everyone would want to prepare for it :)

The outing will be held on the 23rd of August instead and details will be up soon! Please make yourself free that day as it will only be fun if everyone is present :)

Change of Project site

Dear Thailand Team,
There is now a change of plans as the worksite we are supposed to work on is already taken up by another organisation.
The company we are working with will give me an update soonest.
Apparently, we are now going to build a library at a nursery school near the Ban Pha Tek village which we stayed and did a project last year.
And we are likely going to stay at exactly the same accomodation as last year.
ie. Project site is now 1km from our accomodation area.
Target group about 20 plus kids from ages 4-7.
Hence, please alter your plans accordingly.

This is why arranging a project is so exciting and dynamic.

Welcome to our very own OCIP Thailand blog!

Updates will be added from time to time so do remember to check this blog frequently. Everyone has the privilege of contributing to this blog so feel free to add motivational messages or important information that you wish to share with the whole team.
